Emberline is a single-shard MMO set on a real-scale planet. The terminator — the seam between day and night — sweeps continuously across the surface as an ember-colored line, and along it, lanterns wake and extinguish. The game is about the warmth humanity holds across that vast, spiritually active world.
Emberline is a single-shard, planet-scale MMO in pre-production. It takes place on a real-scale world, with authentic relief, a single shared clock, and continents you can sail between without loading screens. From that clock, everything follows: sun angle, moon phase, tide height, and the game's signature visual — the emberline. The emberline is the planet's terminator, the seam between day and night, and it sweeps continuously across the surface as a slow line of honey-gold light. Along that line, lanterns wake as dusk arrives and extinguish as dawn reaches them. Viewed from altitude at night, civilization itself reads as a second, brighter emberline across the dark hemisphere. Every player is a Mote — a universal humanoid carved from frosted dark glass, featureless, and lit from within by two colors that carry Lineage and Vocation. There are three Lineages, three Vocations, and nine visible identities in the matrix. The game is designed to run at a locked 60+ FPS on everything from a developer laptop to a living-room Apple TV 4K. Emberline is built by Smoothgrain.
